Project Question on Hamlet

Because I'm a lazy bum and I'm not taking the 12 AP English test, I have to do a project for the final exam. For this part, I had to come up with a question to explore regarding the book I chose to read for the quarter. I've always had questions regarding the iconic Shakespeare play Hamlet, whether it be on the overarching themes or the overall impact that it left, well, everything, even to this day. So the question I'm going to be exploring is: What is the overall impact of William Shakespeare's Hamlet, and why is still so prevalent today? What allows Hamlet to withstand the test of time?
I figured that on most pieces, this question might be too specific to the work, but we're talking about Hamlet here. There's so much to talk about with this question, and as I delve into my research I think I might have to make plenty of cuts to prevent this from being a month-long read. Hamlet left a legacy that still resonates today whether we know it or not. Even on a question as "specific" as this, there's going to be plenty of things for me to write about. I expect I'll find something out about Hamlet's impact on modern literature, and I also expect I'll find something out about how Hamlet's themes are prevalent today. Heck, I just found out that "to be or not to be" came from Hamlet (I know Mrs. Feldkamp is probably cringing in disgust at the fact that I didn't know that before). I expect that once I'm done with this project, I will probably be unable to see anything but Hamlet once I step back outside my house.
