McDonald's customer service is on another level

They've almost reached the level of Popeyes

I just had the most amazing experience at a local McDonald's drive thru.
After a rough day, I decided that I was going to cheer myself up by taking advantage of a deal on the McDonald's app. Buy one twenty piece nugget, get TWO fries of ANY SIZE for free. Not a very good deal, right.
Absolutely. But I got an even better deal when I got there. I placed my order, and I pulled up to the drive thru to let the employees know that I had arrived. I was told my order was ready, and that I should pull up to the window to get my delicious, GMO'd artificial nuggets and my deep-fried, caloric, fat-filled french fries. I pull up to the window, and to my surprise, they tell me that they had never received my order, and that there was no way for them to make it without me re-ordering again.
I love surprises, so I was absolutely delighted when I heard this news. I was told I had to re-order everything, even though I had paid for the first order already. I loved the idea of giving free money to a major fast-food chain, so I did as they asked. The employee gave me the very nice hurry-up-and-move-so-I-can-get-to-the-next-customer look, and I circled around so that I could spend even more of my hard-earned money on some amazing artificial food.
The deal I had used before was only available for use once a week, so I had to order something different. The cost of the second order was around the same as the first. To my great disappointment, I got my food the second time through without issue. However, I left that McDonald's a very happy man, as I had gotten the rare opportunity to pay double the amount for one single order.

I later went on McDonald's extremely complicated customer feedback service to let them know of this amazing experience. The customer feedback service was a stimulant for the mind, and McDonald's rewarded me for completing the task with a very kind automated response, "sincerely apologiz[ing]" for any inconvenience I experienced, even though I clearly didn't have any. A personal response would have been nice, but I'm sure they're very busy over at McDonald's. Feeding children fatty foods is hard work.
(P.S. On a serious note, McDonald's, if you ever read this, I actually do like your food, and it would be really nice if you could refund me my $7.62. I need to save money for college.)
